Theorizing on ALL factors is what makes the the stock market have the cycles it has. You make it seem like the only good analysis is the kind that supports your holdings. It is the battle between the sum of all opinions that create the selling/buying pressure that moves a stock. Fundamentals included. There is nothing moral about touting a stock under all circumstances. TA is objectivity. It is unusual to me that people want to censor anything that could be interpreted as negative to a stock. Someone has to lose. In mass group phycology, the power (or the money) filter to the few (like a poker game) and the general mass losses. That is why in order to really pull money out of the market on a regular basis, one has to the something that takes him out of the herd. One has to change natural emotions. Then he will not be slaughtered. The easiest way to make money in the markets, is to buy and hold for eons. That lift you above the masses and grants you immunity in most cases when you are buying quality and not the trend.
You said:
"Theorizing On Technicals Can Cause Them To Happen."
There is less theorizing (guessing associated) with TA than with fundamental analysis. ie. Will we get this patent? Will this technology take off? Forward PE's. HOPE, etc..
TA is like saying: the car is ALREADY coming at me at 100 mph. I better get out of the way. It is based on what has long since happened and what just happened.

regards,
OZ

Allow me to summarize, at the risk of repeating myself... this really blows.
