Jon...OH YEAH!!! :)

Actually, you have made some good points. The PR thing could be important and may very well be for fringe companies. But I feel this will blow over like everything else when people start to focus on the long term technology trends. That's all I really care about...years of trading on short term blips was an expensive tuition for me. Not that you are trading, I understand that, but I usually like to respond to posts when it appears folks are getting overly negative.

The AT&T thing did effect their revenues a bit, and I am sure this will do the same for WCOM...but AT&T is in much deeper trouble due to it's continued reliance on old technology like TDMA for their wireless system. The growth and pace WCOM has achieved has been remarkable.

Now AT&T's press release response to QCOM's CDMA growing dominance after the Ericsson deal was the true test of their wisdom...they quipped that THEY do more than just put out press releases (inferring QCOM was merely playing a PR game). Well, that shows severe management myopia...THAT is something I would worry about. Having a temporary PR problem due to a technological glitz is not in the same ball park.

Take Care,
Rick
