MSFT has been competing with AOL all along: MSN ISP. And they stink. They are now going to be Microsoft "Everywhere"! They are playing catch up and don't even have their own playbook. Remember money isn't enough. ATT hits new low for the year The writer presents like MSFT is going to start booking business and getting cash flow by year end! All the financials are driven by the customer base! And msft doesn't have enough (customers)to be meaningful by year end. They may not see any good numbers for a long time. JMHO
