Chaka (something tells me this is not your real name, lol)... I am wondering something, however this may be something people can't put their finger around, etc.

But when you say, DCF, I made some mistakes in my younger days.

Do you feel that you are less or more tolerant of the "ills of society" (whatever you believe them to be), before or after you made these mistakes?

Off hand, I would say that people would gain tolerance as their life experiences increase, therefore, if they felt they made mistakes once they would be more willing to let others make mistakes, reluctant to place blame etc.

What I see here, on these political opinion threads (which by no means represent general opinion I believe) is that those who have things to regret in their lives seem to be the most rigid, and that is surprising - why? One person who is very pro-life and blames abortion for a whole myriad of societal ills was actually involved in two abortions! I think they are really surprised that people can be pro-choice and not have some direct incentive to be so. Same thing with drugs... it seems those that yell the loudest here about drugs, or for that matter legal matters in general, have some experience with these matters in their past - what is up with that?

what a very beautiful commentary...You are quite a "persona'.
Not many of your generation have the "guts" to be honest in
their opinions. too many are Bullshitters..You are very special.
I am older and I have lived to see it all...I know fact from fiction..
honesty is an elusive commodity these days..why George W. just doesn't come out in the open and get his drug use behind him will only destroy his credibility if he has any...SD
