The biggest question raised by the acquisition is what will happen with
the Windows and Linux versions of the software.

This is an easy one; they're going to give it away for FREE. :)

Timing is everything. The timing of *this deal is right on. Where 'acquisition' news would have previously brought SUNW price down, yet alone 'direct competition with M$' in the mix, I think we'll see some good reaction to this next week.
We've got some serious momentum.
