I am very impressed..

Really I am...

Almost exactly what I did..

I used 12 foot 2 x 12s.. I didn't need to go o 14s..

as for the seps themselves..

I used two sheets of Birch blister board..

I glued them together with Marine glue...This stuff is impossible to separate..

well, look who I'm telling this to..

Ok..The steps themselves are 38 inches by 10 inches by 1.5 inch thick..

I also but some 1.5 inch half rounds on for the nosing..

For a finish, I'm using the natural woodgrain, with a poly urethane coating.

Also I am puting a sand grit on the steps, since someone in this house is prone to accidents.

I'm going to rig up some iron flatrods(1 inch thick x 1 inch x 38 inch..)

I'll put two of these on each step underneath, to control any bounce from larger people...

I did it on some other stairs I made and they sure cut down the noise..

Now for the kicker..

The stringer on the outside wall, is being secured with four (4)

10 ton concrete lag bolts...Right into the basement wall....

ARRROUGA!

We now take you to your regularily schedule PABN thread, already in progress.
