Hi Edwarda- I had no thought of you or Cheeky being part of that clique (sorority, including males) or being involved in their PM gossiping and backstabbing. But, I do know what goes on besides the worldly discussions. One of that group has informed me. Certain of them have had an orchestrated agenda against me and Bearcub.

I know Cheeky is not part of it- to me, he is just a funny little guy, normally quite harmless, who sincerely believes in his cause, however totally wrong he will soon discover, being totally misled by his mentor, cliffrat, and the other politicos. He never reads my 'doomeRealist' articles for enlightenment and education, but instead just rebukes them with polly articles and "yawn" responses.
After many months of trying to elicit some, I still have not gotten him to provide one, in-his-own-words explanation of his polly stance or provide me with articles to authoritatively quash the catastrophic warnings coming from oil industry insiders.

I have had no time to read your posts. Even tho you are apparently a polly, I shall be interested to see your opinions and why.

Best,
Ken

except to express concern about...what the effects of frustrated Y2K hysteria might be if the world as we know it does NOT grind to a halt.

Edwarda, would you please elaborate on this. I am among those who consider the hysteria surrounding Y2K a much greater risk than the "bug" itself. I had assumed that the risk from mass panic would end on January 1 when people wake up and discover that the TV is still working and the world has not come to an end. While those who are highly engaged in this would continue to press about pipeline problems into the new year, the average citizen would give a big sigh of relief on January 1 and the risk of mass panic would be over. What do you see as the additional risk of "frustrated Y2K hysteria?
