The Bell Jar by Plath at the moment. Very dark!
Read it in high school and was quite moved by it....I was in that "dark" phase that many teenagers tend to get in (actually in retrospect, I may have even been clinically depressed). I can't hear the title now without thinking of poor Sylvia with her head in the oven. It's terrible when a creative person like that takes their own life. I think many avoid treatment because they feel that it might in some way effect their creativity. Of course, she was in treatment and it still didn't save her.

Chris and I just saw The Sixth Sense. I must admit, I did not expect the ending, which is unusual for me. There is one scene in the movie that I would have to see again to see if it is consistent with the ending, which of course I won't give away - the ending, that is. The scene is the first time Bruce Willis has a session with the kid. No way to talk about it, I guess. Overall, top notch. Very creepy, the hairs on the back of my neck and on my arms stood up a lot ("It's them!"). The scariest parts I had to put my hands over my eyes. But ultimately very life-affirming. That kid was awesome.
