I think Intel had Wilamette in mind when they mentioned the 1 GHz estimate. But, doesn't matter - your opinion versus mine.

<IMHO, you are generally underestimating both the .18 process capability, and the scalability of the Coppermine core. The [PPRO], even though it is mature, has demonstrated that it is an extremely scaleable design. Again, IMHO.>

You may be right but I get my data points from several CPU savvy guys including some from Intel. Woudn't be the first or last time for me to be wrong. Let's see.
