MNI, I realize that the broom pushing comment was not made by you. But I felt that it would be a good example to make my point. My friend didn't say that it was impossible to achieve, but it would have been much more difficult to do so in Germany. If you understood my comment to mean that it was impossible, than it was miscommunication on my part. She did tell me that she would not consider moving back to Germany under any circumstances, until she finished her education. Her family lives in "Trier", and goes back many generations. So I'm not sure how the people coming in after WWll would have affected her particular situation. I was also surprised at her reaction to the Berlin wall coming down. But when she explained, I could see her point. She said that many "West Germans" would see this as more people trying to find jobs and receiving benefits from the government, thus making life harder on the "West Germans". I appreciate the information you have passed on to me. I do have a question. I think you know what I mean when I speak of "Social Classes". What would the correct terminology be for this situation? Also, when you get information about the U.S. from the media, please keep in mind that "The Jerry Springer Show" is the gutter of American people. I actually feel embarrassed by it. Regards, C Kahn
