Agree about the XAU. Some additional weakness is probable if POG does not rebound soon, but I am convinced the next MAJOR move will be up.

My intial targets for the forthcoming gold bull are POG 280-285 and XAU 80-85 this fall. Y2K could push the gold complex much higher despite the best efforts of the Fed and its allies, but this looks like a long shot right now.

When was the last time xau went up with gold down over $3 -- and if you know.. what happened next...did xau tank or gold rally?

The XAU's pennant formation has now evolved into a major indecision wedge formation. TA is telling me that a major move is forthcoming.
