Yes, it's true. Happened to me twice. Once, I was long 1000 shares of YHOO and extended to the hilt. They changed the maintenance requirement in the middle of the game. It was an internet so I can kind of see it (although it is unethical to grandfather in a new policy). They did it again when I was long CSCO, DELL, INTC, and AOL. Fortunately, I had just sold some real estate so I was able to meet the maintenance call. And those stocks are not exactly high risk stocks. It's happening everywhere. AB Watley is about as good of a brokerage as you will find. (It's my fourth) They blame it on REG T (which is a lie) but we signed the margin agreement and they have the ability to "screw us fair and square". Another reason I am trading the QQQ now. FWIW Matt
