Hey Bob -- didn't forget to think about you and that car dealer mogul from The Woodlands .. just forgot to include ya'll in the previous post ....... gggggg I don't know the average number of tornados that touch down in the county here, but it is a very RARE WEEK in the spring that we don't have an alert at least three times in the seven days and I would suspect that the local advisory "take cover immediately" and the sirens going off has happened three or four times this year ..... However in this century, there have been only two strike inside the city limits, or at least to my knowledge. The last one was in 82 and there were numerous fatalities .... two of whom were killed right outside the church where Lance Armstrong's grandfather was pastor at the time .... I was head of the Knights Of Columbus at the time and we, along with MANY other orginizations, stayed busy for several weeks handling the outpouring of aid and help from the surrounding area and even the entire country...... one can still tell portions of where it struck .... You mentioning Clear Lake .... good friends of ours live there ... the wife is high school drill team instructor. Sorry for leaving you off the post ...... gggggg Nemer
