We expect that on average the service will cost about US$1.50-$2.00 per minute (retail) in the United States & Canada with calls to Mexico in the $2.00 range. Prices will depend on the services bundled in the pricing packages & long distance tail charges. The handsets should retail for around US$1,250 and a fixed phone will cost between U.S. $2000 and $5000 (retail), depending on how much equipment is required. For example, a payphone booth with solar panel energy source will be on the high end, while several desktop phones sharing an antenna will be on the low end on a per phone basis. In most cases, AirTouch will provide wholesale service to local distributors who will set retail prices appropriately.
