Here is a break down on RIM's Interactive pager: Purchase Rental Handheld $399 purchase $19.99 rental/month Service $39.99 flat rate/month $39.99 flat rate/month Term None None - return handheld to discontinue service 30-day 'No Risk' Trial Return handheld for full refund ii Return handheld for full refund ii Activation Included in purchase $49.99 I really do not see them sustaining revenue growth 'cause IMHO the growth in sales may have been associated with users just wanting to try out the pager. There is concern that their biggest customer Bell Atlantic has not placed an order to buy again. Another order has been tied up in red tape with a bank. The company needs to diversify into other vertical markets and product offerings.
