A few high-net worth friends of mine use aol and they love it.

Ditto with me. It's simple: Many high-net worth ppl simply don't have the time nor inclination to spend time trying to understand computers. AOL lets them put a disk in the slot, and all they need to know from there is what their credit-card number is, and what username and password they've chosen.

What they don't understand is why anyone would chose to use anything more complicated. These folks are unlikely to quit using AOL anytime soon.

Victor,

I never said the affluent never use AOL. I was stating indirectly that middle income is not willing to pay for broadband at its current pricing. Most middle income are also newbies somewhat to computers. This was a generality. James uses AOL and I would not place him in middle income from what I suspect. I use AOL at times too.
