Glenn I thought I was bolstering your original point about the demographics of aol users, but after reading your post again I see my response post may have seemed a counterpoint which was not my intent at all. (sorry for that)

I think you are right about the midlle-inc market for aol, although I have no data to prove it. They are appealing to the broadest mass of net users possible, and that would logically correlate to the middle inc folks who make up so much of the population and can afford computers and ongoing acccess fees. I think also that aol is a major hit with teenagers.
