Belluzzo will fill the long-dormant position of running the software giant's Net businesses, including MSN and WebTV.

-- better than that moron who started OUT ing people magazine running MSN, imvho.

I really don't know a lot about him, Michelle. I wish I did. Regardless of what he did at SGI, I'm sure his experience at MSFT will be different than his experience at SGI. It's always hard to tell what the real root causes are of the crazy crap that goes on within organizations these days...what little I've heard about him is slightly positive, actually.

Hopefully someone out there in the know will shed some light on Belluzzo and his fit with MSFT.

Michelle, I've suffered as an investor in sgi for many years. Most of us on the sgi thread felt that servers are the future of that company. I'm not sure Belluzo was on the wrong track. Not sure why he's qualified for the Microsoft job, either, but Gates must like him. Tough to question that.
