Sorry about my lack of understanding of the thread. I was not familiar with the terminology and I did not read the book. I would say that CheckPoint is the king of the VPN market. It is the market leader, but has no control over it. Csco is their main competitor. But, CheckPoint is getting ahead fro reasons mentioned in my previous post. Their biggest challenge could come from Microsoft if they ever decide to enter this market seriously. As for firewalls only, CheckPoint looks more like a chimp. I failed to see how 10% sequential growth is puny, This translate to about 45% annually.
