UC, exactly my point. this was my assessment tthis morning.. A leak of this supposedly sealed warrant contains six counts of providing the ability to gamble to others and 2 counts of containing obscene porn and child pornography with the intent to distribute. Is this a witch hunt or what? Nobody was able to bet on starnet's sites and starnet did not broadcast any obscene or child pornography. the RCMP's hope is that some pictures are somewhere on the servers. Very subjective matter, especially in a city rife with prostitution and corruption. The gambling charges are an even bigger stretch. If SNMM gets charged, Canada is trying to dictate that licensees are not accountable for their own actions. Starnet provided a means to block canadian bettors and suggested its use. those licensees that have chosen not to use this blockage are the guilty parties. Starnet was advised by the best lawyers in the province that allowing them to do this did not put starnet at risk we shall see.
