1) It's Yankees not Yankies. 2) The way it usually works is that you have a huge IPO riding the internet wave and use that money to fund your operation v.s. assuming huge debt. I'm not happy about the smell of the whole operation. Knight Ridder was an awfully large fish to swallow for little MAID. They need to demonstrate the ability to make money. Unfortunately to have the debt burden they carry does not make things easy. I thing they need to lighten the load and sell some tangential businesses. Otherwise it's going to be a mighty long haul to make money.
