Jan. 12 1998 Barron's "Plugged-In" column covers the creation of electronic-information company Dialog Corp. (DIAL). The stock is down from its peak of 20, yet its junk bonds are appreciating. Is the hype about Dialog being "one of the best bargains on the stock market" justified?
