"alt.binaries.post-yourself-nude" is a legitimate (if I may use that word) newsgroup on what used to be called Usenet. Without the advent of digital cameras, these poor folks were relegated to polaroids and scanners. Digital cameras and Sandisk have made their exhibitionism far more convenient. Not to mention improving resolution (which, one would think, is important).
