OT OT OT

A local dentist called me directly hoping to cut out the realtor fees. No way. The realator paid to advertise this propery, etc. I am losing confidence in the ethics of many people.

I think real estate is one industry that people feel cheated by. There was a discussion on this matter regarding HOMS on another thread. The problem is that in some parts of the country housing prices have ballooned and real estate agents still get 6%, which is way too much on a 500K house when the mkt is red hot. Out here we had a situation a few years ago where housing prices were really hammered, (down 40% or so) and the papers didn't really report it. The headlines in the home section only dwelled on pricing when prices were going up. So it was hard to get a read on the market... I believe the real estate industry (which pays for heaving advertising in the local papers) was responsible for this selective reporting. Its just an industry that attracts a lot of questionable people out here. fwiw
