There we go again--spinning us down to 65,000 handsets at year end. What is the sequence? It was 140,000, then 100,000, then 75-100,000, then 75,000, now 65,000. We should see 600 any day now!

MT -

Will it receive signals 50 miles out at sea? yes, line of sight, telephone in standby mode

Will it function on a high speed train? yes IF YOU ARE NEXT TO A WINDOW WITH A LINE OF SIGHT TO THE SAT

1. Anything special about the 50 mile limit. I mean huge market shipping. OK not all oceans covered but some are. I am just taking up sailing and the idea of a G* phone on a Yacht seem to me to solve all my coms problems. So waht about local waters Gulf of Mex, Carribean Great Lakes, North Sea, Mediterranean etc. There are over 100,00 customer for that market alone and that doesn't include commercial shipping.

2. Train problem was mine. I mean I don't know what the roofs of German traisn are constructed from but they may well not be metal so as long as you can see the Sat but where do you start to look for the Sats?

Best regards,

L
