Mike:

What do you think of AMAT as a short at these levels.

Mike:

After investigating DSI, (a while back) i have bought it and like it. You also recommended looking at AOF. It would seem in the case of AOF, it is losing NAV and stock price about proportionaly to its dividend payout. This does not seem to be a good deal. What am I missing ?

Any good income plays that you can tell us about which you have done recently ? I had considered LGND long, selling at the money calls but decided I would rather wait (on selling the calls that is)

In terms of puts, it would seem that this tech rally (exc internets) has a way to go - maybe another 10-20% so I am waiting to add puts until then. I have been considering some of the internet banks as possible put buys - would seem possible to get a double whammy..if the FEDS credit expansion dept slows, than banking loan growth slows and internet banks seem to have the most to lose. Any ideas here?

thanks

yes, Michael, the missing something concept with mu is a concern...

i spoke to one chap here from the boards who was poohpooing mu back at 50, (remember 50 ???,<ng>), i said, hey, if brain dead = cash rich, why not go long on mu...he said i belong in a casino...meanwhile, we are up a many many points from 50...

therefore , i ask the question, what could you be missing on mu ?

Mike,

Here's a pretty good article on politics and government stats.
