I can't believe that I've read over 100 posts in the folder today and no one reacted to Microsoft's win in their battle to undermine Java's threat. A judge overturned a previous ruling that prevented Microsoft from using their own version of Java. (Bad choice of words but it's late.) The basis of the original decision was that Softee had broken a contractual agreement with Sun. Apparently the most recent judge disagrees.

It hasn't been a good week for Java enthusiasts. Also this week IBM and Sun announced that their Java-based joint venture is no longer.

Lots of gorilla-game innuendo if you read in between the lines.
