Glenn, Did you see Merrill's big downgrades in the retail and biotech sectors this morning. Also it seems that while Blodget is away, ML's Caruso likes to attack his companies. Last Friday it was AOL and today it's AMZN.

He priced a basket of goods at Circuit City vs. AMZN. According to his analysis AMZN came out $29 higher at $9,479. (AMZN was actually cheaper on more products than CC.) CC ended up cheaper because AMZN priced the Philips Nino 510 $100 more than CC. Thus, the analyst concluded that AMZN gives him little concern in the consumer electronics category, it will gain only limited share given its limited offering.
