Hello Margaret. <G> You never know. This may bring a post from Margaret one of these days. I am not quite sure but I may owe her a PM.

About your tax problems. That's a bad problem to have. I feel your pain. gg.

Yes, Bank One and American Express and some of those Bank stocks were holding the Dow now. Just think what would have happened if they were up. Cyclicals were def. out today. Good thing I don't have any. I don't call my pharmas cyclicals. In any case those were participating again today.

Um. Those internets.

I am trying to make all those points as short as possible. My plane will not wait if I am not ready tomorrow.

You all keep the thread and the stock market up. I will check in from Seattle.

Oh Gee. Before I forget. Someone was on Stock Talk this afternoon (CNBC) and touted Orcl. He had a target of 50 for this stock. After my PM I'd better post this to you. Just remember though that yesterday afternoon someone was on and touted Bank One. gg. Besides, there is still another earnings report before the end of the year. It certainly did not participate much after that fellow was on. I think it got out of the hole though. gg. My Novell never did get that lucky.

Sonny

Hi Ann,
Think twice before you buy property to rent. As someone who is bogged down with retail property and office space,it can be a big headache,
It takes a lot of time if you have new tenants.
Ie; good tenants are great, but are few and far between.
If you have a manager to handle it,there goes 8 to 10 % of your rental income.I have inheirited my property, with stockholders who remain silent, content to let me handle everything myself.
Yes,tax deduction, but every tenant comes with their own special situations which become your concern. I am not talking about a big production, just a small venture with big headaches.
If you have a lot of spare time to spend, not always, but when things go awry, you have to handle it,go for it,but know what you are getting into before you leap.
All is not skittles and beer1!
good luck I could go on and on but won't
Eliz2{one who's been there and still there} gg
