Got it bookmarked.

Kal Kan - Re: " FAB25 and FAB30 together can build 40M Athlons/K8s in 0.18u/0.13u in the year 2001."

No kidding ?

AMD can do that ?

Just how many 0.18/0.13 micron Athlons have they already shipped that leads you to believe they can expand that volume to 40 Million in just a few years?

Kap,

<I will make a prediction that by the end of the year 2001 AMD's valuation will exceed Intel's at around $100B.>

Could you remind me when that happens? I will buy you a lunch. I know, I am being cheap ;-)

<Do you see AMD, or any other player for that matter, having the capacity to supply 100Mu+ of microprocessors per year (growing at 20% per year)?>

FAB25 and FAB30 together can build 40M Athlons/K8s in 0.18u/0.13u in the year 2001. If Athlon retains today's speed advantage over Intel, then much of the Athlon sales will happen in the high-end with ASPs of around $200. Do revenue of $10B and a profit of $5B in the year 2001 sound dominant to you?

I will make a prediction that by the end of the year 2001 AMD's valuation will exceed Intel's at around $100B."

HMMMMMM? Seems that I have seen something like this said in a number of my earlier and much earlier posts. GLOAT! GLOAT! GLOAT! GLOAT! GLOAT!

DARBES

How much would you like to BET on that ?

How about all your AMD shares vs cash ?
