djane, when selling, one does not want to lay low. Sure, one might not spend more than a little money on advertising unless really ready to go and for customers to say "Okay, I'll take it, here's my money". But it costs next to nothing to load up a Web site with Qillions of bits of information for people to click on if they like. Airtouch shops could have "Coming Soon - Globalstar" with leaflets and models of handsets or even working display models. There is lots of low cost pre-selling that could be done. The Airtouch site is out of date in several respects on Globalstar information so they obviously aren't too worried about keeping it current. With minute prices of $2 per minute [yes, they mention $2 per minute] and handsets at $1500 [yes that too] they'll put a lot of people off. Globalstar could have a very busy Web site, keeping all informed of the intricate details. This is not a corner store. It has a market capitalisation of $$multibillions. It needs a url to inform interested people on all the little details. The system will not be fully opeational ever - it will always be a work in progress. It is operational right now! It should NOW be providing service to anyone who wants to buy a handset. There should be a globe of the world, which you can zoom in on, showing the coverage RIGHT NOW! People who click on it should be able to rotate the world to see the place they want to know about. Globalstar is NOT [YET] a global coverage system. Where it can be used and how is going to be very important to subscribers. In 10 years it will cover every nook and cranny of earth [well, most crannies and lots of nooks]. Maurice
