I remember seeing a video,

about a year after the Waco tragedy, a friend of mine got ahold of one of the videos showing news coverage not aired, from the compound.

One that I vividly remember, was one of the tanks, backing out of a wall, will flames firing from the side of the turret, and into the building.

At the time, my friend said that was proof the ATF torched the compound. I myself argured that it could have been one of two other things:
1) A doctored video
2) Tear gas propellant that ignited from flames in the compound

What I'd like to know, has anybody else seen this video? Is it a fake? Or is it suppressed information?

<< ... the incident will serve as a "lightning rod" for patriot and militia groups for many years to come. >>

The incident will also serve to inform the public about how dangerous these fringe groups actually are, whether it was Koresh or that group of nuts that killed themselves to join up with a comet.

In Waco, it was obvious for months that the ATF and the FBI were honorably trying to rescue the innocent follows of that madman Koresh. Fortunately they were able to free many of the children before Koresh finally went off the deep end.

It is nuts to think that the FBI and ATF, after trying for months to get a peaceful resolution, would then criminally burn the complex down in full view of all of the news crews that were there.

The dangerous and unAmerican patriot and militia groups will always be a threat to our society regardless of WACO.

Frederic; RE the incident will serve as a "lightning rod" for patriot and militia groups for many years to come. <<
More than that it serves the interest of certain foreign nations who
use it as a great propaganda tool to convince their population
taht we are the evil empire.

The use of tanks and the big fire at the end was very damaging
to the image of the U.S. & make no mistake that the price in that
respect while mostly over looked and played down , does and
will indeed produce a longer term & more profound effect
than being a "lighting rod" for the patriot groups.
Those scenes went world wide and depict us in the eyes of others
as being extremely brutal.
------------
It may sound silly but I'm an old Boat Captain, and I know what
a high pressure fire nozzle can do. They were there 51 days;
well in 3 days I could have moved in enough drilling equipment
behind steel plate and had 10, 4" in water wells pumping enough
water to flood the whole building off it's foundation.

Believe me I could have washed them out and would never have
needed a tank. I made the suggestion but they didn't want an
easy solution, they had to get rid of the building.
Had the News media ever got close ups of that building and all
the bullet holes pumped into it there is no doubt some heads
at the ATF would have rolled.
That fire was no accident and the Dividians didn't set it.
