When Visigenic was taken out by INPR they already had SUNW signed on to their ORB. Rodger Sippel became Chief Technolgy Officer at INPR. Why did he leave so abruptly ? No explanation was given for his departure. It was stated that there were disagreements with the board on 'technology direction'. I doubt Rodger 'took his money and ran'. My gut is that INPR and the BOD has their collective heads up their asses and can't see the forest through the trees.
