I may eventually use Internet quote services. But currently they are limited, 300 symbols in the case of Interquote, as compared with the 2,000 symbols I follow.

I also prefer to feed the quotes into Microsoft Excel where I can apply my bag of analysis. I don't know of any Internet quote services that provide dynamic (continuous) DDE update to Excel.

I would like to be free of my local cable service, but it doesn't look possible right now.

Matt,

I use Interquote as well, but am on the verge of firing them. They changed data providers a couple of weeks ago, and I have yet to see a day when quotes are right. Highs and Lows are often wrong. Quotes do not update in a timely manner. I do like the spread sheet, but their charting capabilities leave a lot to be desired. They keep swearing they will get the kinks out of the new data, and have told me there will be a whole new version coming out soon that will improve charting. I'm giving them to the end of the month to get the data straightened out. If they are still screwing up then, I plan to shift to Quote.com.

Aloha,
Kevin

BTW, thanks for the explanations on your data.
