Zen masters remind us that enlightenment is "nothing special" -- and neither is a million bucks. As the masters would say, "Before you are a millionaire, you chop wood, carry water. After you are a millionaire, you chop more wood, carry more water." Most millionaires live rather normal lives without flaunting their wealth and usually with a strong sense of responsibility to serve their community, to help others and the world around them. Scott Peck, author of "The Road Less Traveled," asks: "What constitutes wealth? In worldly terms, it is the possession of money and valuable things. But if we were to measure wealth in other ways, besides mere dollars, many who are poor in possessions are spiritually rich, and many who own much are spiritually impoverished."

Luckily for us, being materially rich doesn't preclude being spiritually rich.

Hi Dave, Red Tinge indeed! My whole portfolio looked like someone spilled henna hair coloring all over it!

I finally gave up on SI yesterday after poor success at reaching the pages. That's okay as I finished up a pile of email correspondence instead! All seems to be working fine this AM.

Best regards, Tom
