The home networking products will come in the Fall according to the coms' site. The allliance of coms/msft goes beyond home networking. It encompasses VPN, DSL, nic, modems, Corebuilder switches .... everything. But alliances are all made so they can be called off in some later dates. They don't mean a thing anyway.

It is available NOW!!..." The products will make it easy for home users to connect their PCs and share Internet access, peripherals and applications. They will take advantage of new features of the Microsoft® Windows™ 98 operating system, such as Internet Connection Sharing, drawing on technology from Microsoft's Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) initiative. With a single connection to the Internet, two or more family members can simultaneously surf the Web."

I've set this up last month in my home. It is in the the enhanced version of Windows 98 Second Edtion. And I'm not talking about Win NT. We share the same connection to the 'Net with our PCs at the same time using EtherNet cards. It's great! Kids do their thing while I do mine. So where is 3Com in all this??
