Jeez Larry, who pulled your chain? "Unbridled corporate welfare"??? Rather strong rhetoric, don't you think? And "pampered labor elite"? The average IAM worker at Boeing only makes about $40k/year. A nice salary if you want to compare it to the service industry but not particularly high for a skilled workforce. What do you want for the working class of this country? A fallback to the robber baron days? Beginning with Reagan, the great racist, labor has had an increasingly difficult time keeping up. I don't begrudge them the desire to hold on to benefits. They deserve them in my opinion. Oh, and what's this bit accusing people you don't even know of the potential of "thugery"? Very irresponsible behavior on your part. To resort to such mindless rhetoric suggests an agenda that goes way beyond the contract dispute currently unfolding between Boeing and many of its workforce.
