John, Very nice on the Fib...that's a strong retrace! This might give that market a bounce on today. I will have to spend more time with the NYA....

The S&P carries a lot of banking and financial stocks I believe and skews it in that direction at times. The public is getting nervous about the Y2K financial draw down of cash and the effect on financial markets. Banking sector has droped off. This may also effect bonds and keep them high?

I believe what we have here is a failed retrace to the markets peak in July and is a signal that a short term bear is underway. The charts don't lie and often anticipate public moves. I'm not saying there will not be any more rallies....just no new highs for maybe 6 months.
