I tried to order a SNDK 48 MB card with my new digital camera !!! :-) yesterday. It was listed as in stock, but when it shipped 1 hour later, I got an email saying it was out of stock (this was with NECX, a fairly reputable online merchant). While I was furious with the glitch since I could've ordered a card with a different capacity and I'm going on vacation tomorrow with an 8 month old that's a camera ham ( hows that for grammar ), I was happy since it seems that SNDK can't make'em fast enough.

Cheers,
Rich

Art, Ron, and thread,

Thanks for the suggestions. I do appreciate it. FYI, I was NOT able to find any 96MB CF cards in stock anywhere. Even at Sandisk! Most vendors are reporting shipments due in the middle of September. Thanks again.

Ouch, I paid 220+ for each 96MB from onsale.com With shipping, I paid over 450 for 2. And even there, it's out of stock. I guess the temporary shortage is real. Hope Sandisk is getting something for this, and they're not just inventory that has been in the retail channel for a while.

I bought a 96 mb CF for about $170 from buy.com. It was in stock and did not have to be wait listed. That was in July.
