Oh Cheeky-- you poor thing-- still blind as a bat.... no one is telling you to panic-- but quit being so naive and thinking Y2K is a hoax or something...
Look at Waco,<tip of iceberg leaking out-they lied> Monica,<without the dress they would have lied to the end> Filegate, Chinagate and so on and so on... you believe anything this gov't tells us ? --with this leadership ? Of course Y2K would have been treated same way by Republican Pres. No way could panic be risked by educating people-- plenty was leaked out and I am sure they thought more people would quietly prepare-but the stock market and media made people too overconfident and so now the game is nearly up with very few having even a weeks worth of anything and everyone calmly thinking "maybe after thanksgiving I will buy a few things" Good Luck to them
If Y2K is not an issue to be taken seriously, then why does the government and industry give it such importance in statements concerning Y2K Compliance or Readiness?
Why would some companies spend hundreds of millions ?
Lets stop playing games-- people either will take some effort to protect their family or be to stubborn or proud, afraid a neighbor might laugh.
If I am wrong I am out nothing.... you and many many others on the other will be in sad shape.
Personally I am many months past caring if blind people wake up...
Just sitting here calmly waiting and ready for it to come for better or worse.
