johng, i am one of those average investors you referred to--i bought qcom based purely on references to sensible posters on the msft thread. i have a pitiful understanding of cdma technology but trust that posters (qcom advocates) who can write posts i can't understand must know what they're doing. anyway, my dad bought ericson stock & i guess ericson is a few steps ahead of q in terms of the avg investor knowing what they are about. none of the avg investors i talk to at the office have heard of q. agree with you that in time they will and it will be a great thing for stockholders
