In today's America, many citizens are so obsessed with their
rights, that they forget their responsibilities

We know what our rights are, they are written down and enumerated. What are our "responsibilities" and where are they written down and enumerated?

Gordon
Kinda, sorta obsessed with my rights, at least right now.

Your profile indicates you are a libertarian. You obviously have no understanding of libertarian philosophy. Stick with the socialists, OK?

>>I have no sympathy for the Branch Davidians. They were a
dangerous cult <<
You need to read more about the situation... cult was a word used to demonize them by the lapdog media and they were not dangerous.

>>even at the occasional expense of individual
rights, makes sense.<<
That thinking by naive people is bringing on laws and police powers that will not be given back...
very scary how people have welcomed the coming loss of liberties. The founding fathers never dreamed it would end up like this-- and its just beginning.
No knock warrants are fine as long as its the bad guys down the street their after ? Unwarranted car searches are fine as long as its the car I am driving by along side the road ? Its ok to have a prison industry on track to in a few years locking up 2 million people as long as its not me ?
Of course its worth it-- all the freedoms lost and police powers have made streets safe as can be.
Oh heck its useless --the country has embraced socialism- just still hard for me to believe how much can change in 20 years.

Your opinions just mean that when fascism comes to town you might not be shot. At least you'll survive longer than I will.

Of course, if you continue to preach the group over the individual and continue to support the government's efforts to murderously wipe out dissension, you might even get rewarded. For whatever that's worth...
