Interesting points. I know that Cisco and Motorola announced a JV purchasing the wireless assets of Bosch I think. Do you think that might help address this market?

AT&T is doing a pretty good job gobbling up communications businesses and if they have good management (that's a BIG IF!) they should succeed with their wireless and landline presence.

I got a "AT&T Digital One Rate" phone for my wife's trip across the country this month and it's working flawlessly so far. I can't say that for other cell providers that I've dealed with in the past.

Mobile infrastructure is exploding and since Cisco is concentrating on what they do best their plan to hook up horizontally with Motorola and a few others is pure genius on their part. JMHO!

I'm starting to work on a private one Gig per second microwave link to my friend's house about 5 miles from here where he connects to the Internet through GTE's DSL service at 756K. I'm going to bypass the phone companies antiquated equipment!
