Marc, my point is simply that everyone is not bullish, that there are just as many bears as bulls pontificating on the air, on SI, in the barber shops and taxi cabs and anywhere else you want to look. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....so goes sentiment, complacency or anything else you want to call it.

Higher highs and higher lows = BULLISH
Lower highs and lower lows = BEARISH

All the sentiment one needs to know.

Since I didn't hear the city I checked the BB.com discussion to check what city Bob said he would soon be broadcasting from. It's the Las Vegas area. Hmmm what are the chances that Nevada has a fat state income tax, perhaps zero?

OK, time to get serious here. Some things to watch for that would certainly tend to push the model toward the negative side by the September mailing date would be rates hanging around 6% or higher, another rise in the CIBCR, a strong employment report with a higher than expected rise in hourly earnings, possibly a drop in the unemployment rate, a dollar that would weaken some more, stocks continue to bounce around near their highs. We won't get all that but I think those are some things to consider in guessing what the September newsletter may bring. Next Friday should bring a lot of interesting information
