Hi Folks,

Very informative thread, although over my head most of the time.
Here's my particular little problem: I have a HP scanner that I haven't had installed for over a year since every time I install the software my system crashes immediately. I also run a HP 693 Deskjet printer and have been informed by HP tech support that my scanner is incompatible with my printer. I doubt this is the case as it worked ok prior to changing hard drives. Their suggestion is to add another port. The OS is W95. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
