"After testing NTN interactive entertainment in over 30 Bennigan's locations, we feel that this concept is compelling enough to rollout throughout our restaurants nationwide." Beck added, "Finding ways to keep customers relaxed, entertained and coming back for more is a challenge all restaurants have. We're pleased that NTN Digital Interactive TV delivers an ideal solution." Founded in 1976, Bennigan's was a pioneer of the casual dining segment of the restaurant industry and today operates and franchises restaurants in the U.S. and several other countries. Bennigan's is part of Metromedia Restaurant Group(R), one of the world's leading multi-concept table service restaurant groups. "We have enjoyed working as a team with Bennigan's, from the initial phase of our relationship to today's commitment to install NTN's interactive entertainment network throughout the restaurant chain," said Tyrone Lam, executive vice president of NTN Communications. Player chat: Providing real-time chat will add an entirely new level of "boy meets girl" at Bennigan's locations everywhere. Now, a person playing games on the NTN network at one table can send a text message to a person playing at another table--creating a chat room-like environment destined to change the dynamics of a public venue. Full Motion Video: Enhancing the player experience, full motion video capabilities also provide NTN national network advertisers a creative tool to develop messages that make a powerful consumer connection. Customized Programming: Bennigan's restaurants can program their own messages via the Playmaker to alert patrons about drink specials, birthday greetings and upcoming events. [usual stuff] " And, in passing, from the baseless rumor about GWB getting special treatment: "The allegations that Barnes helped the younger Bush stemmed from a lawsuit filed by former Texas lottery director Lawrence Littwin claiming he was wrongfully fired. Littwin's lawsuit alleged he was fired at the behest of GTECH Corp., the state's lottery operator, and that Barnes may have played a role in his dismissal. Barnes was a lobbyist for GTECH. Barnes is scheduled to be questioned Thursday by Littwin's lawyers in a deposition for the lawsuit. Littwin's attorneys want to know if Barnes helped Bush get into the guard and therefore was owed a political favor by the governor." Those GTECH guys can't seem to stay out of trouble :-) Cheers, Rich
