Hi, You might try reading O'Shaughnessy's books, What Works on Wall Street and How to Retire Rich. Both of them give pretty conclusive results that P/S is one of the more important criteria. Bernie

Hi Dave, It looked like they were comparing companies in the same basic segment of industry, but the relative size, growth rates and "attitude" of the three don't match well. I think this was also part of their confusion. Years ago I'd owned SCI for a while and did well with it. A surface glance might show it to be good value today, but when one looks deeper, it's apparent they stalled a while ago and I don't know if/how/when they're going to get back on track. They may already have, but I'd have to go study it more closely. Best regards, Tom
