Thread: Waterhouse Internet Trading of Canadian Stocks

Over the past few months I have indicated that PYR is the only stock that can internet trade in the US. I was informed by an individual on another thread that I could trade the Canadian issues using Waterhouse. So, ever the inquisitive type I decided to try. Needing another account like a hole in the head I sent a minimum amount to Waterhouse and opened an account.

Today I started to grind through the process. After several problems working with their tech support I got logged on. I picked Kookabura as a low price candidate to start with. I was told early in the day that KKBRF was the symbol - I think that was it. Anyway, working with the expert help I was told I could not trade this stock. Well, I complained so they got a supervisor to verify that I could not trade this stock. I complained some more and they got two supervisors to confirm I could not trade this stock. Of course, being inquisitive while all this was going on I entered the symbol and lo and behold the trade was accepted and eventually executed for $12.00. As I was being told I could not I was trying to explain that I just did - what a trip.

Anyway, I can now confirm that Waterhouse trades Canadian stocks for $12.00 per trade - I think up to 5,000 shares!

Laughing out loud (LOLING?).
