>> Beast of a market today for Biotech. Reminds me of villagers with torches and pitchforks. <<

And right out of the blocks for my portfolio, before the general market took a hit. Across a wide spectrum of stock types/foci.

This is the time to look for someone who had a hot hand on the day, to try to find (1) a good place, near-term, going forward, and (2) a possible cause.

Anyone do OK today? Please speak up. This looked like some mickey mouse fund (Murphy's is the only one that I know that has a variety of low-cap issues) dropping a few shares in thinly-traded issues (CLTR the trigger but not rational cause?), compounded by a weak market later.

Surprising transition for me..... I've gone to a high percentage of cash lately, but only because I wanted kindling.

RWR,

"...Pharmacyclics, a small, money-losing company with no approved products on the market". Makes you want to run right out and pick up a few shares, don't it?

LOL... You know, given the bloated premium bestowed on speculative Internet shares of late, most with no hopes of ever turning a profit, perhaps the writer meant this as a compliment...;-)

The writer picked out a few interesting comments here, but got a little misleading in the next sentence:

Further along is an experimental breast-cancer treatment.

Well, yes... and further along?
