PB,

<I fail to see the significance to your assertion.>

A few things:
- Intel does occasional redeployments - every company in this industry does. The difference is that this is a BIG one - other wise I wouldn't have heard it.
- It is kind of like the regular price cuts Intel does - the difference last time was that it was a big one - steeper and earlier than expected.
- It had to do with your comment that K7 was a niche product. I just wanted to point why I believe the senior Intel management thinks otherwise.

<I do know what we're doing here at Coppermine Central. Ramping.>
Good luck. Intel will be needing it come October last week.

Chuck

PB,

I do know what we're doing here at Coppermine Central. Ramping.

Any way you can bring this kind of info to the Intel thread? Some folks there don't venture over to the AMD thread. OTOH, I know from being in SI for a while that these discussions develop in an evolutionary way, on whichever thread they do, and it's kind of too bad if people don't follow the "thread." I wouldn't expect you to double post just for the sake of spreading your ideas. Something to think about.

The Intel thread may get going more in the server area (if I have anything to do with it) :-)

So Coppermine Central is in Oregon? Is that design, process and manufacturing (initial)?

Take Care, and oh, you get the most diplomatic award, Ten second, around here.
